Keweenaw Scenic Views

The Keweenaw Peninsula rises abruptly and violently from the depths of Superior, rising quickly some 600-800 feet before crashing back down in a series of sheer cliff faces and rocky outcroppings. This soaring ridge-line which forms the peninsulas central spine has been shaved bald by the continuous action of Lake Superior winds and winter squalls. The result is a series of mountain crests almost completely free from any vegetation which might block the spectacular views - becoming home to some of the best dramatic vistas available in the Upper Peninsula.
