This shallow lake sits partially inside McLain State Park and can only be accessed by a walking trail. The northern shore sits up against a state park hiking trail and features a good-sized fishing pier. The rest of the lake borders private property, with a few houses and cottages along its shore. The lake features a beaver dam and lodge on its far southern end and is home to Perch, Crappie and Bluegill.
NOTES This lake can only be accessed from along the McLain Park trail, which requires a good quarter-mile walk into the woods. The majority of the lake is private, with only the short section bordering the park open to the public for shore fishing.
DIRECTIONS: From Hancock follow M203 west out of town for 11 miles. The trailhead to the lake is on the right, straight across from the McLain State Park entrance. A quicker entrance sits another 0.8 miles ahead, also on the right side of the road.
